ANTIQUE FRENCH VICTORIAN MOURNING HAIR ART CONVEX GLASS FRAME RELIQUARY -1898. An antique French Napoleon III era sentimental hair artwork mourning memento. It is unusual and crafted from hair as a lasting memento of a lost loved one. Set under a domed convex glass and housed within an ebonized wooden frame with brass surround. In overall good antique condition with some wear to the wooden frame.
This beautiful piece was created with a lock of hair and a date written in ink : 1er Fevréier 1898 - February 1, 1898.
